Spring 2018 Tuition Remission Forms

ANNUAL STAFF COMPUTER LOAN LOTTERY – OPEN NOW!

LMU’s annual Staff Computer Loan Lottery is now open. To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You currently do not have an unpaid computer loan balance with the University; and
  • If a previous loan was issued to you, you are loan free for at least 20 months, which means the previous loan was paid off no later than April 30, 2016.
  • You are a full-time, regular staff member at the LMU Westchester campus or the Law School with at least two years of continuous service as of Dec. 31, 2017. 

The lottery entry period opens today, Wednesday, Nov. 1, and closes on Friday, Nov. 17. You must enter the lottery by 5 p.m. on Nov. 17 for the chance to win a two-year, interest-free loan of up to $2,200, which will be repaid by automatic payroll deductions. The drawing will be held Monday, Nov. 20. Winners and alternates will be notified via email and the list of winners will be posted on the Staff Senate website by end of day Nov. 21. WILDFIRE RELIEF EFFORTS

Donations and fundraising are the most effective assistance the LMU community can provide at this time in regards to relief effors for those effected by the recent wildfires. It is best that you make monetary contributions, no matter how small, so that agencies on the ground can use these funds to meet the needs of the victims of the wildfires in the most-effective way possible.

The following agencies are on the ground and are already providing aid to those impacted by the wildfires in Northern California:

United Way-Bay Area and The United Way of the Wine Country both provide immediate and long-term recovery assistance to North Bay and Wine Country residents affected by the wildfires.
The Redwood Credit Union is raising funds to support those effected by the wildfires. You can select which county you wish to support.
The Sonoma Humane Society and Napa Human Society are providing shelter for animals that were separated from their owners or for pet owners who need a place to board their animals.

HURRICANE AND EARTHQUAKE RELIEF EFFORTS

Donations and fundraising are the most effective assistance the LMU community can provide at this time in regards to hurricane and earthquake relief efforts in Houston, Florida, Puerto Rico and Mexico. It is best that you make monetary contributions, no matter how small, so that agencies on the ground can use these funds to meet the needs of the victims of the hurricane in the most-effective way possible.

The following agencies are on the ground and are already providing aid to hurricane and earthquake victims:

United Way of Miami Dade supports local agencies that will provide for local community needs such as hotel vouchers, food pantries, and mental health services.
Catholic Charities of Galveston-Houston provides food, clothing and shelter to those most effected by Hurricane Harvey.
Catholic Relief Service is soliciting donations to respond to damage caused by Hurricanes Irma Jose and Maria for people in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Cuba and other Caribbean Islands.
UNICEF is supporting recovery services in the Mexican cities effected by the recent earthquakes.
Colegio San Ignacio, a high school in San Juan, is one of the Jesuit ministries of the Central Southern Province. Donations will support students, families and parishioners who have been effected by Hurricane Maria.
Americares is focusing its relief efforts on providing emergency medicine, supplies and medical outreach to residents of Puerto Rico.
