25th Annual LMU Golf Classic less than a Week Away

ATHLETICS | The LMU Golf Classic is fast approaching, on April 9. This annual fundraising event has supported our student-athletes for a quarter of a century. The baseball team hosts UCLA tonight for a mid-week Battle for LA. The Lions and Bruins will play at 6 p.m. at Page Stadium for a non-conference showdown.

Women’s water polo has two conference games coming up this weekend. The top 15-ranked Lions host Santa Clara on Friday at Burns Aquatic Center for a 4 p.m. start. Saturday’s game against Concordia will serve as senior day, recognizing LMU’s senior class in their final home regular-season conference game before returning to host the Golden Coast Conference Tournament from April 27-29.

Conference softball play kicks back into a gear after taking Easter weekend off. The Lions hosts Pacific for a three-game set, with two games on Saturday and the series coming to a close Sunday at noon.

The men’s tennis team, winners of 10-straight matches, is back on the bluff for two WCC contests this weekend. The No. 46-ranked Lions welcome Gonzaga at 1 p.m. on Saturday and then close out the weekend against Portland at 11 a.m. on Sunday. LMU is unbeaten at home (5-0) and perfect in three conference games to start the season.
