UNIVERSITY NEWS | Changes are coming to University Hall. From Aug. 6 through early 2019, University Relations and Marketing and Communications will be operating out of Seaver Hall while work is being done in their suites in University Hall.
Effective Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, a construction renovation project will begin on the second floor of University Hall as well as a portion of P2 in the parking garage. Construction is expected to continue through Jan. 2, 2019.
To aid in reducing construction noise, wall barricades will be installed along the atrium wall and demolition activities will take place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Normal construction activities will occur between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday thru Saturday, during which general construction noise can be expected.
The construction crews will be using the freight elevator on the east end of University Hall and entering the construction area via the back door. That elevator will be taken offline and used for construction use throughout the duration of the project.
All UR and MarComm phone extensions will remain the same; all mail will be forwarded to the appropriate Seaver office. Both divisions are expected to return to University Hall in early 2019.
