We Have Moved

MISSION AND MINISTRY | Summer is a quiet time at LMU. Nestled between the frenzy of commencement on the one end and the chaos of Welcome Weekend on the other, the warm summer months disrupt the often frantic rhythms of academic life.

However, just as other parts of campus were starting to wind down this past June, the hammering and painting began in earnest on the first floor of Xavier Hall, which over the summer became the new home of the Office of Mission and Ministry and the Center for Ignatian Spirituality.

Now, we need your help breaking in our newly renovated digs. So please join us for an office-warming party and see our new space, meet our staff, enjoy some food and beverages and learn more about programs for faculty and staff offered by Mission and Ministry and the Center for Ignatian Spirituality!

M&M and CIS Open House
Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Xavier Hall 125-129

During the Open House, you will have a chance to meet the new staff who recently joined our team:

  • Marc Reeves, S.J., joins Mission and Ministry as its first associate vice president. In this role, he will help promote LMU’s Catholic identity in the Jesuit, Marymount, and C.S.J. traditions to new faculty and staff, as well as alumni, and guide the office’s strategic visioning.
  • Katherine Brown will assume the position of director of mission and identity programs on Sept. 10. Katherine, who currently serves as the assistant director for the Academy of Catholic Thought and Imagination, will lead formation programs for faculty and staff, including Companions in Mission and the Faculty-Staff Immersion.
  • Eva Cruz-Aedo is the new administrative coordinator for the Center for Ignatian Spirituality and Mission and Ministry. An alumna and former employee of LMU, Eva will be the first point of contact with our offices.

We hope to see you on Sept. 12 — all are welcome.
