The below message was the response from Michael P. Wong, vice president for campus operations, to those who contacted the university in regard to the events of 11.09.18:
Thank you for contacting us. We confirm that we have received your message and are reviewing it. Echoing President Snyder’s sentiments, I apologize for the delay in alerting you about a false threat on our Westchester campus on Friday evening. The safety of LMU community members is our highest priority. We fell short of our obligation to inform you promptly, and we are committed to understanding what failed to ensure this lapse never happens again.
We are conducting a comprehensive investigation to review our protocols, and we will share the results and our corrective actions in the coming days. As President Snyder stated, we must and we will do better.
