LMU to Take Part in Global Earth Hour

Global Earth Hour
Saturday, March 24, 2018

8:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Loyola Marymount University will join hundreds of millions of people and iconic sites (such as the Empire State Building) across the globe in switching off the lights for one hour. Earth Hour is the world’s largest public commitment to protect the one thing that unites us all – our planet. This year Loyola Marymount University will participate by shutting off select lights on the LMU sign on the bluff, Sacred Heart Chapel, Sunken Gardens, and a few select other locations (this will in no way impact typical operations). Most importantly we need your help! Please shut off all non-essential lights and unplug non-essential equipment when you leave (remember cell phone chargers and other items plugged in still draw power even when not in use). Sign up to take part here. Keep up to date with LMU’s sustainability efforts on Facebook and Instagram. We want to see how much energy we can save!
