UPDATED (9.1.18 at 8:30 a.m.)

Telephone services are approximately 80% restored – most voice circuits have been repaired and verified to be in working order. AT&T technicians have returned to campus this morning to check the remaining circuits that feed other services (fire alarms, elevators, etc.). Further updates will be provided as necessary. Thank you for your continued patience.

TELEPHONE OUTAGE UPDATE (8.31.18 at 5:30 p.m.)

ITS continues to work closely with AT&T to resolve the telephone service outage. Repairs to the university’s damaged telephone circuits are underway. Service should be fully restored by Sunday morning. While intra-campus phone calls can be completed normally, inbound and outbound calls to and from the Westchester campus will not work until service is restored.

The university recognizes the inconvenience caused by today’s outage and thanks you for your continued patience. Please note:

  • Contacting 9-1-1: The outage has impacted 9-1-1 dialing from campus phones, so you will not reach emergency services. In the event of an emergency, please dial 9-1-1 from your mobile device. For non-emergencies, please contact the Department of Public Safety at 310.345.8992 or safety@lmu.edu.
  • Deadlines Extended: Deadlines originally scheduled for today have been extended to Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 by end of day for: (1) the Fall 2018 deadline to add/drop courses and receive a 100% tuition credit; and (2) the deadline for late registration.
  • Latest Updates: Please visit lmu.edu/phone for the latest updates. A Lion Alert with similar information will be sent to mobile devices shortly.
