STAFF SENATE | The Barbara Bonney Staff Award was presented to Pam Rector, director of the Center for Service and Action, at the 26th annual Staff Service Awards Luncheon on Feb. 8, 2019. Rector received multiple nominations and is also celebrating her 20th year of service.
During her 20 years at LMU, Rector was integral to the founding and growth of the Center for Service and Action, and served as a community liaison to the Westchester community. She was a driving force behind the creation of the LMU Children’s Center, served as a coordinator of Campus Conversations on Catholic Identity, and was a mentor to countless students and staff, to name only a few of many roles she has played.
The Bonney Staff Award is presented annually by the Staff Senate to the LMU staff member who has shown continued excellence in his or her professional area, commitment to the ideals of higher education, leadership and initiative within their area or the university as a whole, unique contribution to improving the quality of life at LMU, and public service to the LMU community. In tribute to Barbara Bonney, a longtime staff member known for her professional excellence, broad expertise, and personal warmth and collegiality, each year the Staff Senate honors one of our colleagues who is recognized across campus for contributions to our community. The recipients of the Barbara Bonney Award are widely known for their professional accomplishments, and for exemplifying LMU’s mission in all that they do.
The Staff Senate is honored to recognize Rector’s accomplishments and contributions to our campus community. Please join us in congratulating her on her many years of service and the Barbara Bonney Award.
