LMU Makes Strong Presence at Religious Education Congress

MISSION AND MINISTRY | Loyola Marymount University took its mega-booth and a full slate of speakers leading workshops to the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, the largest annual gathering of its kind in the world. More than 40,000 attendees hailing from nearly every state and from many countries gathered for this four-day event at the Anaheim Convention Center, March 22-24, 2019.

LMU also coordinated the daily liturgies and the music that so beautifully supports them for thousands of people who attend this event, which is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Office of Religious Education, to learn, celebrate and connect with others who are involved and passionately engaged in the Catholic faith.

LMU’s presence at this yearly gathering is nothing short of a big deal. The university’s many contributions include representation from LMU’s Office of Undergraduate Admission, the Department of Theological Studies, the School of Education, the Center for Catholic Education, the PLACE Corps program, the Center for Religion and Spirituality and its co-sponsorship with the School of Film and Television of the annual Congress Film Showcase.

LMU’s Office of Alumni Relations also extended the true gift of hospitality to the hundreds of LMU alumni and friends in attendance.
