Construction Updates for the New School Year

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT | Lions returning for the new semester may recognize changes since they were last on LMU’s Westchester campus. The demolition of Sullivan and Huesman residence halls have created some modifications near Doheny Hall, which can be minimized with a little planning.

  • New footpaths paths along Ignatian Circle have been installed. Pedestrians are asked to remain inside the barricades, along the Jamba Juice side, and not walk in the street. Please refer to the pedestrian map for further details.
  • Footpaths have been reintroduced along the sidewalk in front of Hannon Field. When walking these paths, all pedestrians must follow the instructions of the crossing guard stationed at the roundabout.
  • All footpaths are for pedestrians only. Bicycle, scooter, and skateboard riders must walk their transportation through the designated pedestrian pathways, and abide by all dismount zones.
  • Use the Lincoln Gate when entering campus. Minor traffic delays may be expected along Ignatian Circle near Seaver Hall and the Life Sciences Building. These delays can be minimized by entering via the Lincoln Gate, rather than the Leavey Gate.

The new residence halls are on schedule for a fall 2020 opening. To view newly released renderings of these state-of-the-art buildings, as well as stay up to date on construction news and frequently asked questions, please visit construction.lmu.edu.
