Alliance of Women Philanthropists Hosts Climate Change Panel

UNIVERSITY BULLETINS | Are we too late to reverse climate change?  If not, then what action can we take? Why should we care?

Join the Alliance of Women Philanthropists (AWP) as we address these important questions and more at a panel titled, Climate Change: Thinking Globally. Acting Locally. Panelists will discuss a new generation of climate shamers who fear a catastrophic future and plan to save the world.

Panelists include Bonny Bentzin, deputy chief of sustainability at UCLA, John H. Dorsey, Ph.D., BCES, LMU civil engineering and environmental sciences professor, and Jesus Villalba Gastelum, Youth Climate Strike California co-lead, and Earth Uprising LA city coordinator. The panel will be moderated by Carol Costello, CNN veteran journalist, LMU journalism professor, AWP honorary chair and LMU First Lady.

A reception will immediately follow the panel. Attendance is free and open to the public. For additional information and to RSVP by Oct. 8, visit alumnicommunity.lmu.edu.
