Faculty and Staff Weekend Retreat Is Set

MISSION AND MINISTRY | Among the signature events in the Loyola Marymount University calendar is the Faculty and Staff Retreat Weekend. Those who have not previously had the opportunity to participate are invited to a retreat on Ignatian themes at the Mary and Joseph Center on the top of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. This year’s retreat happens Friday, Jan. 31, through Feb. 2.

There is no cost for this event, which is sponsored by the Center for Ignatian Spirituality. While spouses/partners are welcome, most of those who make a retreat find it a rare chance to have a private room, a weekend shared with others from LMU, and with quiet time built into the program. The retreat is open to all.

Wayne Negrete, S.J., and Randy Roche, S.J., will be the directors/guides for the retreat, offering prayer and reflection sessions on the Ignatian Themes of Gratitude, Purpose, Desires, Discernment, Decisions, Magis and Service.

There are only eight rooms left, so contact Randy Roche, S.J., to register and for more information: rroche@lmu.edu.
