INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES | Microsoft has released a critical security patch to mitigate the risk of a Windows 10 vulnerability (CVE-2020-0601), which was discovered and reported by the National Security Agency. The security patch is available NOW and any Windows 10 computer connected to the LMU network will download the patch. To complete the update as soon as possible, Windows 10 users need to accept any Windows updates and allow your computer to reboot when prompted. As of 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3, this critical security patch will be required and if you have not updated your computer yet, it will automatically download and reboot without prompting (Note: This means that you may lose work if you are online at this time).
