Evolution of Yoga Summit Coming to LMU

BCLA | This March, the inaugural Evolution of Yoga Summit will be hosted by LMU’s Masters of Arts in Yoga Studies here on-campus. The Evolution of Yoga Summit is a collaborative project between Accessible Yoga and the Yoga Service Council in partnership with YogaAlliance, setting standards for yoga teachers nationally. Dedicated to “raising questions, exploring possibilities, inviting change,” attendees at the Summit will both learn about and help shape the future of yoga, entering into a dialogue about such essential issues as cultural appropriation, racism, consent, and accessibility.

“As the first and only Graduate Yoga Studies program in the US, we are excited to host critically urgent conversations in Yoga that uphold the LMU mission dedicated to social justice, education of the whole person, and deep engagement to serve our diverse communities.”  Nirinjan Khalsa-Baker, Acting Director Graduate Yoga Studies.
