covid 300x300 - COVID-19 Signage Toolkit Available for Download

UNIVERSITY NEWS | The university’s branded COVID-19 safety signage is now available for download on the LMU Together website.

The toolkit offers a comprehensive suite of signs, icons, and health and wellness posters that can be displayed in offices and that are often mandated by the L.A. County Department of Public Health. Any campus resident or essential staff member requiring signage will find ready-to-print PDFs in multiple sizes, as well as customizable posters, that can be downloaded and edited in Word to fit an area’s needs.

The visual identity of the COVID-19 safety and public health signage was consciously developed around the university’s secondary color palette of black and sunshine yellow to stand out from LMU crimson and blue.

“The vital purpose of this new campus signage system is to visibly communicate new safety protocols and standards,” said Maureen Pacino, executive director of LMU Creative and Production. “If you are walking around campus and you don’t see it, it is a failure. Color is vital to conveying meaning within information graphics, and for this initiative, yellow was the obvious choice.”

The color and style of the toolkit will also be reflected on more permanent COVID-19 signage around campus, for visual cohesion across all channels related to pandemic health and safety. The visual campaign is time-bound to the COVID-19 era, which created an opportunity to explore the secondary color palette on a temporary basis.

If a design is required that is not currently offered in the toolkit, please email covid-19responseteam@lmu.edu with your request.
