Staff Performance Review Process Reinstated

HUMAN RESOURCES | The annual performance review process has been reinstated this review cycle after being canceled last year. Supervisors should plan to complete an annual performance review of their staff member’s job performance from June 1, 2020 – May 31, 2021. Performance reviews must be conducted and completed by July 30, 2021.

Supervisors are not required to complete an annual performance review if their staff member remains furloughed. If your staff member has worked less than six months in this annual review cycle due to a furlough, a performance review is not required, however, performance reviews may still be completed if desired.

Human Resources has simplified the performance review form this year as workload/responsibilities may have temporarily shifted due to the pandemic. Supervisors also have the option to ask staff to complete an employee self-evaluation form in preparation for their review.

Virtual training sessions are offered to assist during the performance review process:

  • May 3 | Employee Session: 10-11 a.m.
  • May 5 | Supervisor Session: 11 a.m.-noon
  • June 8 | Supervisor Session: 2-3 p.m.
