LMU BELLARMINE COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS | The ninth annual Hispanic Ministry and Theology Lecture will examine the life and legacy of slain Archbishop Oscar Romero of El Salvador.
The lecture, presented this year by LMU Latino/a Theology and Ministry Initiative and Commonweal Conversations, is titled “Romero: A Man in Search of God and Truth,” and will be given by Ana Maria Pineda, R.S.M, S.T.D, on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at 7 p.m., in the Life Sciences Building, Room 120. Sister Pineda is a member of the leadership of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, West Midwest region, a tenured faculty member in the religious studies department of Santa Clara University, a member of the first generation of Latino theologians in the United States, and a key voice nationally on Hispanic issues. She is the author most recently of “Romero and Grande: Companions on the Journey.”
