Faith Doing Justice Discernment Series Begins

MISSION AND MINISTRY | The Faith Doing Justice Discernment Series is a six-month experiment in relationship building, training, and communal discernment across the Jesuits West apostolates that begins now and ends in July 2020. The discernment series provides an opportunity for apostolates to explore working together in order to act more powerfully in their work for justice and practice community organizing as an Ignatian way of leadership and collaboration.

Jesuits West seeks to foster greater collaboration and partnerships among leaders serving within the various Jesuit apostolates to lay the groundwork for other forms of cross-apostolate collaboration in the coming years.

Each Jesuit apostolate within the province has been invited to appoint an Arrupe Delegate who will serve as liaison and participate in the communal discernment process. The Office of Mission and Ministry wishes to thank John Paul Ramirez, a member of the Campus Ministry team, for agreeing to serve as LMU’s Arrupe Delegate. John Paul will be our liaison to the Jesuits West province staff and to other regional Jesuit works as we seek to leverage our collective resources and experience in tackling issues, such as homelessness, that are of critical importance to our communities.
