Inaugural Meeting of the Philosophies of Liberation Encuentro

BCLA | The inaugural meeting of the Philosophies of Liberation Encuentro will be co-hosted by LMU and Casa 0101, a community arts center in Boyle Heights, on May 18th and May 19th. The events of Sunday, May 19th will be hosted at LMU in Ahmanson Auditorium (UNH 1000) from 8:30am-6pm. The event brings together diverse approaches to questions and practices of liberation from philosophy, to theology, art, activism, and community. The keynote speaker, Enrique Dussel, will deliver his address, “Philosophy of Liberation and Decolonization,” from 4-6pm on Sunday in Ahmanson Auditorium.
